Dean was born in
Montréal and grew up on Chicago’s North Shore. He attended McGill University
for engineering studies and worked as an engineer in the thermal dynamics
field. While living in the cold Chicago winters, he made his first trip to
Key West. One visit to Key West was all it took and Dean moved to this
tropical island paradise just a few months later.
He enjoys the friendly small town feel but appreciates the amenities Key
West offers, more like a larger city.
One of Dean’s hobbies is restoring homes and he began buying and selling
real estate as a result of that hobby. His friends asked for help to get
them started in finding the right home and his real estate career was born.
It quickly became a full-time effort.
In a short time Dean has become well known and respected in real estate and
his devotion to the community, its fundraising causes and the many cultural
events.
Dean enjoys the Key West architecture and the many different styles of
historic homes. Updating them with modern amenities all while keeping with
the original design is important to him. After completing a couple of
projects in Old Town, Key West, Dean decided to build from the ground up. It
became a much larger project than he anticipated but the results were well
worth the effort. This has given Dean some great knowledge in the process of
reconstruction and building in Key West, which he now passes on to friends
and clients.
Finding the right home for buyers has become his passion and his specialty.
Dean listens to your dreams and wants in order to help you find that special
home. Past clients stay in touch and often ask him for help in finding a
handyman or other services or just to say hello. Dean’s clients have become
one of his best sources for new referrals. His goal is to make the buying
and selling process simple and stress free.
